Arsenal who had a 55% ball possession opended the scoring account in the 8th minute of play through their French star man, Lacazette, a controversial goal which saw Video Assistant Referee (VAR) stepping in to decide if there was no off side.
In the 49th minute, the Arsenal’s debutants paid off their employer by converting a wonderful header by defender Gabriel from Willian’s brilliant corner kick.
The former Chelsea talisman came back to set up captain fantastic, Aubameyang in the 57th minute of play to give him two good assists in a single match.
Fulham tried to pressure Arsenal through the introduction of Mitrovic but Arsenal was too good to thwart the efforts.
“This is a good way to start a season”, said Lacazette. The striker promised that the team will be more ambitious moving forward.
The match ended with Arsenal taking all three points, creating three goals, making a clean sheet for Goalkeeper Leno.
