Big Spenders Earn A Point at The Hawthorns

Chelsea who topped spending chats during the summer managed to earn a point in a compelling league dram at

West Brom, the hosts looked very dangerous from the start and it took them only four minutes to snatch a lead through their forward, Robinson who converted a beautiful out of the box strike to beat the veteran Goalkeeper Caballero.

In the 25th minute of play, Chelsea’s free signing defender, Thiago Silva made one of the deadly mistakes in his career as he failed to stop a pass from Marco Alonso, which was nicely possessed by the determined Robinson to take his side 2 nil up.

2 minutes later, Bilic’s lads added a goal from a corner kick through their veteran defender Bartley who converted a re-bounce from the right corner to take West Brom to 3 nil.

Lampard’s man were very slake and they could not find a consolation goal in the forst 45 minutes of play.

Second half, Lampard made two substitutes, taking out Alonso and Kovacic replacing them with Hudson-Odoi and Azipilicueta, a move which seemed tactical.

In the 55th minute, Chelsea reduced their three goal deficit to 2 through their attacking Mason Mount who converted a right footed strike to bit Johnstone.

Chelsea who were now dominating the game slotted another goal in the 70th minute of play through the substitute Hudson-Odoi.

In the stoppage time, the striker Tammy Abraham scored an equaliser which was contested by West Brom for a handball by Harvetz though VAR ruled a score for the Blues.

The match ended with the two sides sharing the spoils, West Brom rising to the 15th position with a single point while Chelsea on the 6th position with points.
