Breaking: Gvt Bans Gatherings

The government through the Ministry of health and child care has has decided to ban all forms of gatherings including churches, sports and music shows as COVID-19 cases continue to rise at an alarming rate.

This was announced by the Vice President and Minster of health and child care CGDN Chiwenga, as a way to cab the spread of COVID-19 which has seen numbers recently rising to three digits in 24 hours.

The newly announced restrictive measures will be effective from Monday 14 June 2021.

The ban of gatherings comes two days after the government had allowed artists to perform live shows for a maximum of 50 people only.

During the same presser, Vice President Chiwenga also announced that public transport operators had to ensure strict COVID-19 regulations, while funerals have been reduced to a maximum of 30 people.

Offices are required to decongest by 50% save for essential services while restaurants and fast food outlets to serve takeaway only.
