COVID-19 Cases Surpasses 6000

COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the country with confirmed cases now above 6000 according to the statistics by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC).

The MOHCC reported that there were 140 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, 134 of them being local cases while the death toll is now on 155.

The good part of the statistics is that there were 78 total new recoveries 33 of them being from Midlands Province.

“As at 24 August 2020, Zimbabwe had 6 070 confirmed cases, including 4 950 recoveries and 155 deaths,” posted the MOHCC through their twitter handle.
