Nathan Shamhuyarira’s wife Dorothy Shamuyarira died from Covid-19 at Parirenyatwa Hospital where she had worked before her retirement.
She was born Dorothy Mandimika in Mutare formerly Umtali.
She was reportedly a Christian and a member of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe and purportedly resided in her house in Hogarty Hill, Harare.
She was a nurse at Parirenyatwa Hospital and at one time taught nursing at the Muhimbili Teaching Hospital in Dar-es-Salaam.
Writting on his Twitter handle Hopewell Chin’ono @daddyhope narrated her brief biography, carrier and cause of death.
“Dorothy Shamuyarira, the wife of the late national hero, Dr Nathan Shamuyarira, has died from Covid-19 at Parirenyatwa Hospital.
Dora, as her husband affectionately called her, was a nurse by profession at the same hospital but retired decades ago.
May her soul Rest In Peace!”
