Equatorial Guinea’s Engonga Arrested Over 400 Sex Tapes With Wives of Prominent Individuals

Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF) in Equatorial Guinea, has been arrested after the shocking discovery of over 400 sex tapes involving the wives of prominent individuals in the country.

The sex tapes were retrieved during an investigation of the official for alleged fraud and released online to the general public.

The tapes, stored on CDs, revealed his sexual encounters with high-profile women, including the wife of his brother, the cousin and sister of the country’s president, the wife of the Director General of Police, and the spouses of about 20 ministers.

What began as a routine corruption probe took an unexpected twist when investigators found the videos on Engonga’s computer. The recordings, reportedly consensual, were captured in various settings, including his office, hotels, and restrooms, and have since leaked online.

“Baltasar EBANG ENGONGA is said to have filmed these scenes with the consent of the women themselves, which exonerates him from a possible crime of violation of integrity.

In the videos, he is seen having unprotected sex with several women, including those married to powerful and well-known people in the country, but also with the most “diva and influential” single women in Equatorial Guinea.

Some scenes take place in hotel rooms, houses, even in the protagonist’s office at the Ministry of Finance,” a report on Ahora EG stated.

Engonga, who is married with six children, has held a prominent role at ANIF, where he leads financial investigations and anti-corruption efforts.

He is the son of Baltasar Engonga Edjoo, the current president of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).

Addressing the scandal, Teodoro Nguema, Equatorial Guinea’s vice president, said the government would be stricter on its employees going forward.

Given the abuse that has been shown on social media in Equatorial Guinea in recent days, and remembering that ministries are solely and exclusively for carrying out administrative work in support of the country’s development, s#xual relations in offices are prohibited,” he wrote.

Control mechanisms are already in place, and anyone who violates this rule again will be subject to disciplinary proceedings for indecent conduct and will be dismissed from their job.
