Five Gold Panners Still Trapped Underground

Task mine shaft which collapsed on Thursday last week trapped five gold panners which are still trapped underground.

The trapped miners have been identified as:

  1. Shingai Gwatidzo
  2. Crynos Nyamukanga
  3. Costantino Dzinoreva
  4. Charles
  5. Munashe Nyamukanga

Acting police spokesperson for Mashonaland West, Assistant Inspector Ian Kohwera said it is unfortunate that non of the five miners have been rescued by the a rescue mission which is being conducted by a multi-sectorial team.

According to reports there are agencies from the airforce and the army who are on the ground trying to rescue these trapped panners.

Unfortunately, the absence of underground plans are hampering the rescue mission and there is also need to do proper ground survey to carry out the rescue mission.

My Gokwe will keep you updated on the matter.
