He is a young man aged 21, from Sibangani village in Mateme area in Nkayi District, Matabeleland North in Zimbabwe.
He is performing poet and well known as Mahlokomisa – Iqhawe Langempela – Imbongi Yesizwe. He really came into map after he was published by Sunday News and Umthunywa (Iphephandaba likaZulu).
In addition, he joined a program called ‘Amadramatics’ being conducted by Denson Kulube known as Malume at Skyz Metro FM (100.3 Esabantu) this has raised his position on the map. Furthermore, he joined an association called Zimbabwe Academic and Nonfiction Authors Association (ZANA), this further strengthened his abilities and capabilities in the art industry and being an academic material.
He is currently the Secretary of ZANA for Bulawayo Chapter and has got a number of pending publications for example a book titled, ‘Izingoma zamaNdebele lemidlalo yabantwababo, Ukwenza komhlaba, Uthando lwalamuhla and many others.
His published works includes a book titled, ‘Ayephila njani amaNdebele? 1’ (Ndebele culture and heritage), Ndiza ngqunqulu (anthology of poems), Ingxubevange (a multilingual book, anthology of poems and short stories in IsiNdebele, Tonga and Nambya).
All I always do is to write, I don’t feel good when I spend more than a day without writing anything because I’m sure that ‘I live to write and I write to live. I have been assisted to assist, some or almost all of the people that I have assisted are very proud and happy, their comments shows that I’m a well-wisher and a helping material in the writing industry for young and budding writers like me. With all this I fell honored and humbled. I wish to assist more than thousands and thousands of young writers in Zimbabwe.
Ncube highlighted that theirpPublishing company, Ukhozi Publishers PBC was working on many books for young and budding writers who need a strong assistance.
When asked about their plans going forward he indicated that before end of this month (August) they will be releasing 3 books in IsiNdebele language.
The books includes; Isililo kozeleyo by Nkulumane Enos Mhlanga, Ngikhethe yena! By Thabani Carlton Mpala and Ubumunyu bomhlaba by Shepard Ncube, the list for the up next books is endless so far.
Before the deadly disease struck the country they had started a powerful program of talent search, show and development. The program aimed at empowering rural schools and they managed to hold the first one at Mateme Secondary School.
It was very unfortunate that lockdown was imposed before they moved to the second one at Setshanke High School.
Last but not least, I appreciate the help from the elders in the writing and poetry industry.
