Shacky Arsenal Cruise Past Sloppy Leeds as Man United Settle for a Draw

Arsenal were on fire as they came from back to back Premier League losses when they hosted Marcelo Bielsa’s sloppy Leeds United at Emirates Stadium today.

Gunners captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who made his first start in almost a month proved doubters how valuable he is to his club as he scored a supreb hat-trick to end winless run.

Gunners have failed to impress since the day he was last named in a starting XI as they were knocked out of the FA Cup while collecting only four points out of possible 12.

Within 14 minutes of play, Aubameyang opened his scoring account for the game before converting a sport kick in the 41st minute following a foul to Saka by Leeds goalkeeper.

Four minutes later, right back Bellerin produced a wonderful close range strike to earn gunners a comfortable 3 nil lead going to half time.

Aubameyang grabbed his third goal in the 47th minute of play as he converted a wonderful header from the right side, a ball that was well played by Smith Rowe.

As complacense seemd have crippled the gunners team, 4-0 down Leeds grabbed two second-half goals through Pascal Struijk and substitute Helder Costa to give Arsenal a late scare.

The match ended 4-2 in favour of hosts who are now seating 10th with 34 points out of 24 palyed matches, a place top of Leeds who have 32 points.

Meanwhile, Red Devils managed to salvage a point away to West Brom who tailed 1 nil 2 minutes into play. OGS’ lads are seating second on the table, equal on points with Brandan Rodgers’ Leicester but ahead on goal difference.

What’s next?

Arsenal face Benfica in Athens in the Europa League on Thursday (20:00) while Leeds are in Premier League action, travelling to Wolves on Friday (20:00).
