ZANU-PF Aims to Widen Vote Margin in 2023 Elections

Yesterday, ZANU-PF elected an interim Executive Committee for the Bulawayo Province which was preside by the Gokwe Central Legislator who is the ZANU-PF National Commissar, Victor Matemadanda.

The newly elected Bulawayo Province Executive Committee under the Chairmanship of Obert Msindo has been tasked to mobilise membership as the party targets to gun 5 million votes in the 2023 harmonised elections.

Matemadanda spelt out a huge task for the committee in installing discipline among the party as well as support mobilization.

As the party, we have a 5 million target which we have set for ourselves. Remember the president has put a vision but before we get to that vision we have said 2018 elections have created problems for us.

The president was in the same bracket with the opposition (2 million bracket). What we plan to do is to have a 5 million vote in the 2023 election so that the margin is big for all to see.

The deputy secretary for ZANU-PF National Women’s League, Angeline Masuku urged also encouraged the newly elected committee to align to the party values.

We should work to bring back the values of the party. It should not be about positions but commitment to serve the party and stand for the entire party ethos.

Bulawayo Province whose committee was dissolved in 2019, have been without the have been operating under the chairmanship of the late Absalom Sikhosana, who passed out in May this year
