Midlands State University (MSU) has made a groundbreaking move towards enhancing community empowerment by launching a dedicated website for the St. Daniels Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre.

This initiative marks a significant advancement in digital accessibility for children with disabilities.

Developed by MSU’s Information Technology Services team, the new website combines innovative design with practical functionality.

Officially unveiled at the university’s Main Campus, this digital platform is set to bolster the Centre’s mission of providing essential support to children with disabilities.

Expanding Support Services

The St. Daniels Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre, a Private Voluntary Organisation, is dedicated to delivering comprehensive services that include specialized counseling, rehabilitation, skills training, and advocacy for children with disabilities.

The launch of this website will significantly enhance the Centre’s ability to connect with more families, share vital resources, and promote inclusivity within the community.

Professor M. Maphosa, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Administration, represented the Vice Chancellor during the launch.

He emphasized the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion: “This effort creates an enabling environment that nurtures growth, self-reliance, and dignity for children facing diverse challenges.”

User-Friendly Features

Mr. L. Dandira, Director of MSU’s Information Technology Services, showcased the website’s key features, highlighting its user-friendly navigation and detailed service descriptions that make it easier for families to access necessary information.

Ms. J. Tayi, a board member for the Centre, expressed her gratitude for the collaboration: “This website will significantly expand our reach and create new opportunities for children with disabilities,” she stated.
