Yesterday the Blues agreed negotiations with German Club Bayer Leverkusen to sign German International, Kai Havertz on a club record fee of £89m.
As part of the deal, Leverkusen have been offerd the chance to sign Malang Sarr, one of Chelsea’s summer arrivals on a season long loan.
The German International has registered 36 goals and assisted 25 times in his 118 Budesliga appearances.
Havertz, who is keen to join the club as soon as possible, has not yet had a medical with Chelsea and remains with the Germany squad for their UEFA Nations League fixtures with Spain and Switzerland.
If the 21 year’s medical tests are success he will be Frank Lampard’s 7th signing following the arrivals of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard is on a signing spree with the aim to overhaul his side ahead of the 202/21 season with their first game of the season set for Monday the 14th of September away to Brighton & Hove Albion.
