VP Mohadi Commissions Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa Clinic in Gokwe North

VP Mohadi Officially Commissions Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa Clinic in Chipare Village, Gokwe North

Vice President Kembo Mohadi has officially commissioned the Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa Clinic in Chipare Village, Gokwe North, marking a significant milestone in improving access to quality healthcare for local communities.

The clinic, equipped with modern facilities, was established to honor the philanthropic efforts of First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, whose charitable work spans across the country.

A Tribute to Philanthropy

During the commissioning ceremony, VP Mohadi acknowledged the First Lady’s contributions as the nation’s health ambassador, stating that the naming of the clinic highlights her selfless dedication to improving health outcomes in Zimbabwe.

He emphasized that this facility will serve as a vital healthcare hub for the people of Chipare and surrounding areas.

The clinic was constructed by Jimayi Muduviri, a Kadoma-based businessman and chairman of Muduviri Pan African Referral Hospitals.

Muduviri has previously built several healthcare facilities, including clinics in Chivi District and Gokwe South, as well as the ongoing construction of the Dr. Joshua Nkomo Clinic in Gwanda.

Commitment to Health Care

During his remarks, VP Mohadi celebrated his 75th birthday and reiterated that the construction of this clinic aligns with the Second Republic’s philosophy: “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo/ilizwe lakhiwa labanikazi balo.”

He expressed hope that the clinic could eventually be upgraded to a district hospital and become a referral center for the region.

“This beautiful clinic has been built by one of our own under the Pan African Group of Referral Hospitals,” he noted.

“I had the honour to commission the E.D. Mnangagwa Clinic in Shokoni, Chivi District, Masvingo Province, in September. Today we are gathered to celebrate the opening of yet another clinic here at Chipare in Nembudziya, Gokwe North District.”

Encouraging Community Contributions

VP Mohadi called on other individuals and corporate entities to follow Muduviri’s example and contribute to building similar healthcare facilities across Zimbabwe.

He highlighted that the Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa Clinic would prioritize disadvantaged groups, including women, children, war veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

Muduviri shared his personal story about how a life-changing accident in 2006 inspired him to build hospitals and clinics throughout Zimbabwe.

He recounted how President Mnangagwa and the First Lady supported him during his recovery after the accident, further motivating him to give back by establishing healthcare facilities.

“I had an accident that nearly resulted in amputation,” Muduviri explained.

“When I was in South Africa for treatment, I ran out of funds and reached out to them.
They came through for me. Since then, I have always wanted to reciprocate their kindness by building health centers.”

Community Support and Vision 2030

Chief Chireya commended Muduvir for his contributions to the community, stating that such developments align with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 goals for rural development.

He acknowledged that Muduvir’s efforts complement government initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access.

“Government is advocating rural development, and Cde Muduviri is complementing these efforts,” Chief Chireya said.
“We also need to thank President Mnangagwa and Amai Mnangagwa for their development-centered approach because we now have this clinic because of them.”

The commissioning of the Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa Clinic represents a significant step forward in enhancing healthcare access for communities in Gokwe North and reflects a broader commitment to improving public health infrastructure across Zimbabwe.
