The Federal International Football Association (FIFA) intervened on the electoral processes of the Côte d’Ivoire’s Football Association presidency elections and suspended the election until further notice.

This comes at a time when the presidency election process which the Côte d’Ivoire football Legend, Drogba is also eying to win is said to have been done in an unfair manner with no freedom.

What worsend the situation is that only two candidates, the current vice president Sory Diabate and the former vice president Yacine Idriss were selected while Drogba was rejected as a candidate to make them three.

Unfortunate to the two selected, FIFA acted in a possibly Drogba’s lifeline as they declared the suspension of the election process through a letter to Côte d’Ivoire’s Football Association
