Nominations for ZAPU Presidency are still open with a few provinces to nominate their preferred candidates for the top position to replace the Late Dumiso Dabengwa and Bernard Magugu is leading the nominations.

A relevant source revealed to My Gokwe Media that Magugu who is the Midlands ZAPU candidate was edging closer to the mark in a competition which has turned to be a two man race.

Magugu is a province ahead of rival Mbayiwa Mark Nzula while others including the son of the late Vice President Joshua Nkomo re only hoping for a miracle, otherwise the battle is over for them.

Despite losing the United Kingdom and United States nominations, Mugugu scooped the South African nomination and both Mashonaland Provinces in Zimbabwe.
