Former Ghanaian President, Jerry Rawlings who once served as the military leader for the country before pursuing for presidency between 1981 and 2001 has died at the age of 73.

Conveying a condolence message, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Information in Zimbabwe Nick Mangwana wrote “Sad to hear that HE Jerry Rawlings has passed on. We last saw him at former President RGM’s funeral in Harare. He was a friend of Zimbabwe during his time as Ghanian leader. May His Soul Rest in Peace.”

Nothing much has yet revealed concerning the cause of the death.
