The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a statement warning on vehicles with no registration plates confirming that there are some checks with the Central Vehicle Registration (CVR) which revealed that they have some permanent vehicle registration plates.

The ZRP statement also advised vehicle owners who are displaying 2019 plates and before to visit the CVR offices so that they acquire permanent plates with immediate effect.

ZRP made it clear in their statement that those who will not display number plates will risk consequence of their vehicles being impounded on checkpoints and roadblocks by police officers.

 It has also been made clear that these permanent plates will be costing USD 80.00.

The police urged motorists to be exemplary on roads and ensure they drive vehicles which are legally registered for the effective maintenance of law and order in the country.
