The Zimbabwe National Army has lost another member, Brig-Gen Sambulo Ndlovu (Rtd), whose Chimurenga name was Stanley Hlayibeni, died yesterday.

He succumbed at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals due to a Covid-19-related illness.

The death was confirmed by Zimbabwe National Army Commander Lieutenant-General Edzai Absalom Chanyuka Chimonyo.

He was 65 and is survived by his wife Sarah and six children, three boys and three girls, Nguquko, Vezubule, Prince Majaha, Thobekile, Lindiwe and Sithulisiwe.

According to a statement by the ZNA, the funeral and burial arrangements will be carried out according to World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines on Covid-19

The ZNA lost a number of its top bosses since the beginning of COVID-19, including Air Marshal Perence Shiri among others.
