ZANU PF has suspended Chegutu West legislator Dexter Nduna from holding any party position, party acting spokesperson Patrick Chinamasa has said.

This followed a Zanu PF politburo meeting held in Harare yesterday.

Chinamasa said Nduna will remain a card carrying member but will not hold any party position.

However, no details on reasons behind Nduna’s suspension were shared by the ZANU PF desk. However, evidence shared by Kudzai Mutisi on his Twitter time line shows that Nduna was sent to the Hebert Chitepo Ideological College.

Vasingazivi? Ngavadzidziswe… (Those who doesn’t know let them be taught) Dexter Nduna sent to Chitepo Ideological College to be taught how to behave as a ZANU PF cadre,” he wrote.

In a statement by the Provincial Chair, Cde. Ziyambi Ziyambi, dated 5 June 2020 Cde. Nduna allegedly defied the party constitution when he tried to impose his party candidate in Chegutu Ward 2 by trying to impose his candidate and therefore causing havoc.

Attached is a statement purportedly addressed to Nduna confirming the decision by the Provincial Executive Council that met on 21 March 2020.
