Gokwe South RDC CEO Dies 

Gokwe South Rural District Council has lost its long serving Chief Executive Officer Mr Silas Velani at the age of 54.

The sad news for Gokwe community were confirmed by a workmate to the deceased and also family friend Mr Jabulani Gute.

According to Gute, the 20 year serving CEO suffered a stroke mid December last year and another one last month.

“He then passed on in the early hours of today. I was called at around 1am. When I arrived, we took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” said Mr Gute.

Mourners are gathered at Mr Velani’s Green Valley house in Gokwe town.

Mr Velani is survived by his wife and four children.
